Wind band at Ronald McDonald House

Hi Barry and the Band,

We just wanted to say a massive ‘Big Top’ thanks for joining us yesterday; the passion with which you all donated your time is truly remarkable and I hope that you are all feeling proud today.

We generated fantastic income of £845, which equates to 34 nights accommodation; having the event complemented with a live band is magical, really builds the atmosphere and ensures all our guests had an extra memorable time.

With your support, we secured over 200 hours volunteering on the day; we certainly would not have been able to put on such a wonderful event without you sharing your talent and time.

We received lovely, heartfelt thanks and feedback from a cross section of guests who all wished to praise the event, everyone’s hard work and dedication to making a real difference to the families we support and our wonderful facilities.

Thank you for joining us and being a part of our fifth anniversary celebrations and we look forward to working in partnership with you in the future.

Thank you to all for a wonderful evening. Great feedback, everyone loved it. Please let's make it an annual event! We raised £1000 in total, in memory of our little Tim, who would have loved every minute of the evening. Thank you one again for a great night - find us a date for next year!

Love and friendship,

Wind Band at Oldham Parish Church

On October 15th of this year the Greater Manchester Police Band came to Oldham Parish Church to give a concert. This is the second year they have done this and the evening was a huge success raising £374.10.  All the people enjoyed the whole performance and all took part in the last couple of items including a Last Night of the Proms. Everyone had taken flags to waive and the children there were enthralled. Activities such as this highlight the commitment of the police in engaging with, and supporting local communities.

Yours very sincerely

"Thank you so much for helping us celebrate on Friday! You guys were amazing and everyone at the celebration was just in awe of you. Not just because of your flawless performance but also for how lovely and friendly you all were! The day wouldn't have been as special as it was without you!! The children singing along to the national anthem was breathtaking and playing frozen was a nice could hear the children singing that song down the street!!!

You were so easy to work with, planning everything and turning up early to set up. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile! It's so refreshing to see that level of professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone, in fact I'm desperately trying to think up events just so we can have you back!!! I can't thank you enough and hope we can have you back at our school in the near future!"

Big Band at Ronald McDonald House

"Thank you so much to Barry, Jonathan and the Greater Manchester Police Band for entertaining the families staying at Ronald McDonald House Manchester. It was a fantastic spectacle and the band brought a real cinematic atmosphere to our movie themed 4th anniversary party.

We’re very proud to have raised £801.46 on the day and couldn’t have achieved it without the help of the Greater Manchester Police Band. All of the money raised will go towards the running of Ronald McDonald House Manchester so we can continue to provide accommodation to families with poorly children in the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. We are so grateful that the band were able to donate their time to support us and are excited to see them again soon!"

Sax quartet at The Willows School

"Many, many thanks to the wonderful band from GMP who came to entertain our guests at the Queen's 90th birthday party, on 21st April. All our visitors, at The Willows primary school, thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous music, particularly the 'Happy Birthday' song and the national anthem. The band made it such a memorable afternoon for everyone involved. We would highly recommend anyone to have this amazing band at their event and look forward to them returning to our school in the very near future".

"I cannot thank Barry and the GMP Band enough for all their support. It was an excellent evening, and all our guests really enjoyed the band - simply superb vocalists and instrumentalists. With the band's help and support we have raised around £1500: all this money will go to good causes.

We have lots of photos and video clips of the band on Bolton Lever Rotary Club and North West Rotary websites and Facebook sites."

Greater Manchester High Sheriff’s Police Trust

"The Greater Manchester High Sheriff's Police Trust were supported by the GMP Saxophone Quartet at last year's Chief Constable's Golf Day. The band helped make the day a huge success and we were inundated with compliments on the atmosphere created by the band members' music. We were lucky to have great weather, but the same effect could have been achieved indoors.

I recommend their services and they add a major element to any event."

GMP Federation Charity Dinner

"GMP Federation is really proud to host a charity dinner each year that raises a significant amount of money for local causes. Other federations do the same, however none are lucky enough to have the GMP band to support us on the evening. They really do make the night go with a bang, with their incredible array of talent and a stage presence that would be the envy of many professional artists. This year we had over 200 guests that attended and the feedback was that they were the highlight of the night!"
